AISI S - 7 Shock Resistant Air Hardened Tool Steel

Shock resisting tool steels are listed under the letter symbol "S". These tool steels are intended for applications requiring high toughness and resistance to shock loading. Our   S 7 grade is commonly used for moderately elevated temperature service. Repeated shock loads are no problem for the S -7 grade due to its exceptional strength and overall toughness.

Typical applications include:

-  Chipping chisels
-  Knock out pins
-  Screw driver blades
-  Circular pipe cutters
-  Mandrels
-  Shear blades
-  Drift pins
-  Punches
-  Stamps
-  Grippers
-  Rivet sets
-  Track tools
-  Hand chisels
